Earnknowe was once a small farm, and is set amidst the Southern Highland mountains, facing South over Loch Earn. Earnknowe is an ideal centre for:touring, walking, cycling, golfing (content/view/25/46/), fishing, and many other activities.Loch Earn is a major watersports centre (content/view/23/44/).The village shop, Post Office, and a good selection of places to eat and drink, are within easy walking distance. The self-catering cottages were tastefully converted using existing farm buildings and in 2002 a new lodge was added to provide 5 units in total, each sleeping from 2 to 4 people. All cottages are graded and classified within VisitScotland's (formerly the Scottish Tourist Board) Quality Assurance Scheme.Each cottage has a wonderful view over the loch to the mountains beyond.It is a view which constantly changes with the elements and seasons.Earnknowe is situated close to Lochearnhead at the western end of Loch Earn . Loch Earn is 6 miles long, a beautiful loch surrounded by trees, steep hillsides and mountains and with shores giving easy access to the water.
