Fishing  Trout and Salmon fishing on numerous lochs and rivers. Permits are required for all the lochs and rivers nearby, most are very modestly priced, and can usually be arranged through the hotel. The fishing season for salmon runs from 1st February until 31st October, and for trout from the 15th March until 6th October.
A Ghillie service is available locally for both salmon & trout fishing, although advance booking is usually required, we can sometimes arrange at short notice. Walking  The mountains in the area provide ample scope for hill walking and climbing. There is free access to the many forestry roads, and estate footpaths, but we would ask you to abide by any signs which advise of shooting, tree felling dangerous works, sheep gathering etc. These signs are there to ensure personal safety, and to allow a variety of recreational and commercial activities to co-exist in our countryside.
