<title>SELF CATERING COTTAGE AND BED AND BREAKFAST ACCOMMODATION IN PERTHSHIRE, SCOTLAND </title>
		<link>http://earnknowe.co.uk/index.php/Local-Information/Earnknowe-Award-Winning-Self-Catering-Cottages.htm</link>
<description> (index.php?option=com_content task=view id=13 Itemid=30) (index.php?option=com_content task=view id=12 Itemid=29) (index.php?option=com_content task=view id=5 Itemid=28) (index.php?option=com_content task=view id=14 Itemid=31)Our self catering holiday home, with cottage, cabin and Bed and Breakfast accommodation is set amidst the Scottish Central Highlands in Perthshire. Each cottage faces due south and has a wonderful view overlooking Loch Earn and the mountains beyond. In the summer ospreys can often be seen hunting for brown trout from the loch.Being in the Breadalbane sector of Scotlands first National Park, our holiday accommodation is ideally placed for many activities including:touring, walking, cycling, golfing (content/view/25/46/), fishing, and many other activities.Loch Earn is a major watersports centre (content/view/23/44/).The village of Lochearnhead with its shop, Post Office with free ATM, has two good hotels with restaurant facilities and all are within easy walking distance from your accommodation at Earnknowe. You can even walk down the disused railway line that runs to the rear of the cottages. The self catering cottages were tastefully converted using existing farm buildings and in 2002, a new lodge was added to make five units in total, each sleeping from 2 to 4 people. The cottages are graded and classified with Visitscotland&amp;#39;s Quality Assurance Scheme and every year additional facilitities are added to each cottage.Whether staying in our self catering accommodation or having bed and breakfast in the house, there are many activities for the visitor. Around Earnknowe, you will be able to meet our two donkeys and see our free ranging hens. You will often see red deer and red squirrels when walking around this old farm setting.Nearby is Killin with Loch Tay, the spectacular Falls of Dochart and the Ben Lawers mountain range. Golf can be played locally in St Fillans at the other end of Loch Earn or in Killin or Callander. There is excellent trout and salmon fishing on the Teith, Forth and Tay river systems but for the more energetic, activities like wakeboarding or water skiing on Loch Earn and Loch Tay. Cycling, with bike hire in Lochearnhead, is made easy with the Sustrans Route 7 running past Loch Earn. The Munros and Corbetts locally provide good walking and climbing activity and those include Ben Vorlich, Stuc &amp;#39;a Chroin and above Killin, the Lawers mountain range. For the children a visit to Auchingarrich Wildlife Park or Blair Drummond is a must.Being so centrally placed in Scotland, use our Perthshire self catering home, cottage and bed and breakfast accommodation to tour in each direction and please use the page How to find Earnknowe where you will find a map of the area. You will see below a list of some major centres. Here are approximate mileages to major centres: Perth 30 miles Fort William 64 miles Pitlochry 50 miles Edinburgh 65 miles Stirling 30 miles Oban 57 miles Glasgow 54 miles Glencoe 40 miles Loch Lomond 35 miles </description>
